In response to a comment yesterday evening warning against anything even approaching an open-borders policy, I’m putting together a response. Commenter “razorgator” suggested that I watch this video on google. I hate watching videos, for the record – and this goes to everyone: don’t send them to me, give me text. I can read much faster than I can watch, and text is also much easier to cite in response.

There are serious ethical and logical problems with isolationist policies, to which the historical record is a mighty fine testament. These problems are compounded by co-opting definitions and piss-poor methodology.
