I have a USB drive which is encrypted by Credant Mobile Guardian software. I have the key for this disk.
I am unable to read the disk (I/O Error) on a computer unless CMG is installed. This means that I am not even given an opportunity to authenticate or enter the key.
Is there something I’m missing? Shouldn’t I be able to read the disk if I have the key, even on a computer which doesn’t have CMG installed?

I use the “preview pane” feature in conjunction with the “Unread Mail” folder. I preview most e-mails in that pane.
Occasionally, after the 10-second delay or whatever I’ve set, as the item becomes “read” rather than “unread”, it moves the item from the “Unread Mail” folder. This happens relatively infrequently, perhaps one day per week, I have no idea why, but it’s an ongoing annoyance, since, upon reading e-mails I like to organize them or cache them in a project-specific folder (wherein they will never, ever be re-read).

If you’ve got something substantive to say, out-of-the-blue or as a response to something I’ve posted, I’m usually more than happy to hear it. If you don’t like something that I said, or if you disagree with something that I said, by all means, send me an e-mail or leave me a comment. I’d love to discuss our differences. If you prefer to remain anonymous, that’s fine, too.
However, if you’re just going to do a drive-by insult, consider this fair warning: I’m not impressed, and I’m not offended, either. That said, someone sent me the following anonymous message over the weekend:
Email: [redacted, but most certainly fake]
Phone: [none provided]
Website: [none provided]
Reason: To make a comment
You’re an idiot.

I don’t understand why anyone would bother… With the exception of my Memorial Day post (which this comment antedates by a day and a half) I don’t think I wrot anything particularly incendiary over the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, the comment is entirely bereft of both civility and context, so, I’ve absolutely no idea to what s/he is referring.
