undercutting Wal-Mart?

September 15, 2005

Russell Roberts at GMU is a never ending source of leads for me. The irony here is sickening, you couldn’t script this better, which just goes to show that sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.

So, logically it follows that, the Union opposing Wal-Mart is justified in paying workers less than wal-mart, and requiring that they work in conditions that are markedly worse than those provided by Wal-Mart, in an attempt to discredit Wal-Mart? but seriously, $6/hr with no benefits, to stand in 104 degree heat all day? And Wal-Mart is the bad-guy?

This union is doing precisely what they are vilifying Wal-Mart for– they are paying people a little bit of money to do a job that anyone can do, because it is better to earn some money doing the basest of jobs than to earn no money and remain unemployed.
