hookers & blow

October 26th, 2005

I have nothing against strippers, although I think they’re just hookers in a glorified format. They’re basically the same thing, aren’t they? Well, I also think they ought to be able to provide their services wherever they can afford an establishment. I think they ought to have the right to choose their profession as anyone else does, and that there is nothing inherent in their line of work that should allow the state to forbid the free excercise thereof. But, it’s continually an issue. I think Seattle is trying to banish them to the outskirts of town, now. Red Doris is a 60-something old lady, and she’s furious about this.

I also think prostitution should be legal, but that’s another argument, and this is probably a safer jumping-off point. On the flip-side, I was visiting the alma-mater a few weeks ago for the Homecoming festivities, we had a rather unfortunate runin with strippers.

That one should be sued for breach of contract.
