Fuck Blogger. Moving Soon. Anywhere else.

March 20, 2007

Ever since Blogger transitioned from Beta - by which I mean - forced its users to change from “old” blogger to new blogger, I’ve been having problems publishing. Sometimes my posts publish to an atom or rss feed, but they do not publish to the index or to my domain - which explains the error page, which is a picture of my roommate showing you his ass. Sorry.

Anyways, what was happening was basically an FTP timeout. So I checked my FTP settings - as if I changed them - and created a new account. Updated the blogger publish settings, and received a new error message! I am now unable to authenticate myself on a domain that I own. I fiddled with a handful of redirect options, and unfortunately, for the time being, I’m stuck with blogger, because that’s the only place I’m able to publish.

Right now, I have the http://blamp.com/blog set to redirect to http://doinkicarus.blogspot.com

This is a temporary fix as I migrate to another location. The easy WordPress migration didn’t work - it was not accepting my login - a problem I’m also attributing to Blogger’s transition to the “new” app which should still be in Beta. Perusing the status.blogger.com and various forums, people have been having the same problem I’m having since November, and it doesn’t seem to be resolved.
