Blogging about liberty, anarchy, economics and politics

Outdoorsy

November 10th, 2008

Normal blogging to resume shortly, last week’s torrent of 15 posts was pretty taxing.

Over the weekend, went “up north” with the wife & dog to visit her family, beat my six-year-old nephew at archery, let the dog run wild in the woods, had some good burgers, pancakes, cheese dip, chili, and whiskey (not for the same meal!), beat the father-in-law at euchre, walked the back 40, played with a chipmunk-rifle, etc.

In the meantime, if Obama takes away all the guns, I’m covered:

me being all outdoorsy.

Now, if only I could figure out how to hit anything other than the broad side of a barn…

No, in all seriousness, I was much better with a bow than I was the last time I shot one, which was probably summer camp circa 1993. I could hit a my target at 25 yards with about every third arrow, and the misses were close.

For the most part.
