Obama’s Kill List Reveals the “Anti-War” Left Are Fucking Poseurs

June 5th, 2012

As others have noted, during the Bush regime there was a popular anti-war sentiment among those in the “left” or “progressive” camps. Well they were all fucking poseurs hijacking an otherwise noble ideology.

From this faction, who I presume would gladly present Bush’s head on a pike, we have heard nary a peep since Obama took office, even though as David McElroy notes, Bush’s controversial drone program has been greatly expanded, and as highlighted by some propaganda-masquerading-as-news last week, the litmus test for whether a drone strike is justified essentially amounts to whether it killed anyone, since the newspeak definition of “militant” is circularly defined as anyone killed by a drone strike.

Napolitano comments on Obama’s secret kill list,

Since 9/11, the United States government has set up national security systems that function not under the Constitution, not under the Geneva Conventions, not under the rule of law, not under the rules of war, not under federal law, but under a new secret system crafted by the Bush administration and personally directed by Obama, the same Obama who condemned these rules as senator and then extended them as president

The silence now reveals all the anti-war rhetoric as nothing more than partisan pandering, proving beyond doubt that it was never really about being anti-war.

And proving that, in times of conflict all for-profit media is essentially state-run propaganda recyclers, our independent and unbiased news media continues to report on such “facts” e.g., : U.S. drone strikes kill at least 18 suspected militants in Pakistan.

It would also be worth noting that “The Pakistani government and parliament have repeatedly asked the U.S. to stop the strikes,” including a summons of the US envoy to Pakistan. You bet your ass they’re pissed off. Wouldn’t you be?

If any country on earth launched UAVs to send missiles in to American households it would be considered an overt act of war and would be met by the full force & fury of the U.S. Military.

Double-standard much?

“And proving that, in times of conflict all for-profit media”.

Nothing wrong with for profit media. The problem is they reflect back the stupidity of their audience lest they lose it. Of course, their readership was deflected from learning in government schools. If we were fucking smarter, they’d cater to that. Thankfully, the internet is the best hope where the truth stands a chance of not being murdered.

The media is to government today as the priestly class was to the Kings of old. Their job is to confuse, divide, scare, misinform, disinform, and drive the populace remonstrating into the Kings arms to beseech Him as to where He points the Gun.

Sometimes I think what hurts us the most is believing political action can change things and that is the danger. I can’t change shit. If I could, I’d start locally and small and see how that would go. I’d join the local Crips and Bloods to turn them into charity workers. Or join the Mafia and see if I could turn it into the United Way. Running for office to take the largest criminal organization in the country and try and change things? Yeah, right.

I have come to believe I can only change things in my personal life…because I can. And it is fucking hard. Know statists in your life? I purged the ones out of my life. It hurt, but it is the way to the better; the people I purged know *EXACTLY* why I spurned them. I raise my kids with non-violence and accepting the NAP and respect for property rights and an ethics system without gods or governments. I teach them reasoning from first principles, logic, critical thinking, look for empirical evidence to backup a claim, and don’t accept my conclusions as truth. Of course, if they accept anarchy and atheism as logically correct they have thought correctly. ;)

If I sound preachy, I really don’t mean to be. Just thought I’d share my thoughts.

well… 100% of the for-profit media is basically just a mouthpiece that regurgitates any propaganda put for the the Ministry of Information or whoever is in charge, lest they lose their privileged access to break “news” stories.
